About
Hi folks, I'm Jake
I help enterprises ship AI systems that work consistently and reliably in production. At Microsoft, I'm the lead support engineer for J.P. Morgan's AI workloads and the Americas representative for the Agentic Workflows Center of Excellence. I built a multi-agent pipeline that cut troubleshooting guide authoring time by 70–80% and is rolling out across Microsoft support engineering.
I'm especially focused on agentic AI and multi-agent orchestration, both building these systems professionally and exploring what happens when you let AI agents run your entire development workflow (it goes better than you'd expect, with some key caveats.)
Before Microsoft, I co-founded a startup and built communications intelligence from zero. My wife and I live in the mountains of Wyoming at 7,200 feet, where the air is thin and the people are hardy.
Off the clock: too many side projects, hiking, amateur cello, scifi, reading about whatever's happening in AI/space/physics, strategy games, and documenting my cats' continued refusal to be impressed by anything I build.
Experience
The Trail So Far
2024 – Present
Senior AI Support Engineer
Microsoft
Designated lead engineer for J.P. Morgan (Microsoft's largest banking partner) and other VIP accounts. Built TSGBuilder, a multi-agent pipeline now rolling out as a hosted service across Microsoft support engineering. Selected as Americas representative for the Agentic Workflows Center of Excellence — training, public content, engineering collaborations, and a direct product feedback loop that has shaped platform features across compliance, embeddings, identity, and more.
2023 – 2024
Azure AI Support Engineer
Microsoft
Started in Azure OpenAI support, quickly became the person people came to for the hard problems: RAG architectures, vector search, content safety, provisioned throughput. Piloted a cohort-based mentorship model that improved case closure speed by 25%; later adopted as the org-wide standard.
2022 – 2023
CTO & Co-Founder
TruckCoinSwap
Co-founded a freight-tech startup. Built the whole stack: Go backend, PostgreSQL, AI-powered document processing. Learned a lot about startup economics and wearing every hat at once.
2020 – 2022
Software Engineer
SturdyAI
Built a B2B communications intelligence platform from scratch to first ARR. NLP models analyzing millions of messages. First real job where I got to build something from zero and watch people use it.
2019 – 2021
Graduate Research & Teaching
University of Wyoming
Blockchain research, teaching emerging tech (VR, Android, robotics) to undergrads, and finishing three degrees. Also where I first learned that explaining things to others is the fastest way to actually understand them.
